If you haven’t been reading The Core Mechanic you’ve been missing out on a great read which unfortunately is coming to a close.

Jonathan Jacobs is going to stop posting to this outstanding blog on July 1st, 2009 to pursue another project but he wanted to leave us all with something a little special, as he wrote on June 21st:

So, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to what my last post will be – and what I’ve come up with is a sort of an audio montage modeled somewhat like the NPR “This I believe” project. I think, if we can pull it off, it would make for a great last post.

If you’d like to contribute check out his latest post, I am a Gamer, for all the details.

Johnathan, thanks for all the great reads and I wish you the best in the future.

May your dice roll well.

I’ve frequently mentioned Johnn Four’s excellent publication/website – Roleplaying Tips here at of Dice and Dragons this week’s issue holds a special place for me as I penned the main article, Lessons Learned from behind the GM Screen.

You can read the article over at Johnn’s website which was pulled from part of the series I wrote concerning my last campaign, the Realms of Rylon and if you’re not a regular subscriber of his newsletter be sure to sign-up while you’re there.

For those of you that are interested in reading the entire series here are the links to the individual posts:

The Realms of Rylon – The Postmortem
The Realms of Rylon – The Good
The Realms of Rylon – The Bad
The Realms of Rylon – The Ugly

May your dice roll well.
